The Drudge Report is linking to an AP story about a “liberal” church in Pasadena under investigation by the IRS. The Liberal Thought Police are threatening to revoke the charitable designation of the All Saints Episcopal Church for preaching against government policy in Iraq from the pulpit.
But don’t be fooled by the “non-partisan” appearing move by this thoroughly anti-Constitutional organization, the IRS is targeting YOUR church and MINE. The liberals pulling the strings of the bureaucrats in Washington D.C. are more than willing to sacrifice one of their own to their own evil mechanizations if it means being able to finally get a notch on their belt for taking down a church on the grounds of “separation of church and state.”
They are tired of waiting for a solid case to be built against a Conservative or a fundamental Christian congregation so they will throw one of their own to the gallows in order to finally set the precedent against “wrong thinking”. They want to take the imaginary separation clause to the next level and begin censoring what we hear from the pulpit. Influencing what is said, and ultimately, silence those of us who know and love the Truth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Don’t feel good about this at all. In fact, be afraid and outraged at this latest strike against the 1st Amendment of the Constitution. The Reverend Bacon has it wrong. The socialists in government don’t want to chill our speech; they want to silence those speaking it.
