A great tool for the voter and for the pollsters at the polling places is this web page provided by the Allegheny County Elections Board.
Not only does it allow for you to find exactly where your Polling Place is located, it allows the Election Workers the opportunity to cross reference who is registered at that address against the identification provided by the potential voter if there is some question.
From my experience in my small district the vast majority of people coming to vote have their Voter Registration Card with them or at least a Drivers License / PA Identification. But as a service, here is a list of the valid Photo and non-Photo IDs accepted at polling places in Allegheny County.
Photo:
- PA driver’s license or ID card issued by PennDOT
- ID issued by any other Commonwealth agency
- ID issued by the U.S. Government
- U.S. Passport
- U.S. Armed Forces ID
- Student ID
- Employee ID
Non-Photo:
- Voter’s identification card issued by the voter registration commission
- Non-photo ID issued by the Commonwealth
- Non-photo ID issued by the U.S. Government
- Firearm permit
- Current utility bill
- Current bank statement
- Current paycheck
- Government check

Let’s face it, if you can’t produce at least ONE of these documents then your attempt to vote in this election is dubious at best.
Election workers, if you have computer hookup capabilities at your polling place you MUST take advantage of these great resources.
