Let’s face it, America was born in conflict. America thrives in conflict. Our most useful and beneficial advances in science, medicine, weaponry, and civilization have come through conflict.
Peacetime in America inevitably leads to stagnation. It leads to needless self-introspection. Peacetime in America is where those forces that lead to internal strife and treason flourish. It is only when Americans are on edge, on their guard, ready to defend themselves from threats foreign and domestic, then America is GREAT.
When we succumb to “political” pressure, to the desire to be “liked”, the need to be “accepted” on the world scene, when we surrender our killer instinct, that is when we begin to resemble all the other failed nations and governments of this world.
America is respected around the world not for our diplomacy. We are blockheads when it comes to dealing with deceitful people. Our word is our bond, the rest of the world just doesn’t understand that sort of commitment to personal excellence and Godly standards.
America is respected around the world not for our generosity. The moment we give to anyone around the world they inevitably expect us to continue our largess indefinitely and EXPECT us to cater to their every whim and cry.
America is respected around the world not for our politics. The American public has been under attack for the last 60 years by international Communism and Socialism and has been fickle at best in its dealings with “friend” nations and allies. The “people” now do not know what is best or even what is American. A vacuum exists between what was and what is to come.
America is respected for our power. Our ability to decide on a dime what is Right and Good (according to God’s perfect Word) and to act accordingly, swiftly, and without regret. America is respected for our ability to do what is right, even after exhausting all other possibilities.
America is respected for our devotion to Personal Liberty. It is the ownership of private property and the ability to defend that Right that sets us apart from every other nation that has ever existed or will ever exist.
America has at its core the Second Amendment, sometimes called the “Reset Button of the Constitution. We not only allow but GUARANTEE that our citizens are able to defend themselves from the tyranny that is government. EVERY government becomes corrupt. Every system of rule becomes flawed to the point of oppressive.
Our right, guaranteed by the Founding Fathers, to keep and to bear arms, is the foundation by which all other rights and privileges are kept secure. To surrender this right in particular would ensure our eventual slavery to and death by our “democratic” government.
So, if you do not carry a handgun for personal protection as well as the protection of the general welfare of others, get one. Learn how to use it. Learn how to wear it. If your municipality or State demands you get a permit, get it. Jump through the hoops. Sign the papers. Make the commitment to defend yourself against the common criminal (the lowest form of life in our society) and to defend yourself against the people who have pledged to govern and protect us. Given the chance, our elected officials would become our taskmasters, enslaving us to their own ends and to their own aggrandizement.
The ability to meet deadly force WITH deadly force is what every dictator and tyrant fears most. Save your self, save your family from the coming doom. Defend your property, defend your lives, but defend America from itself during these times of peace. There is no peace without sacrifice. Our ancestors, fathers, grandfathers, and even great grandfathers gave the ultimate sacrifice; their lives so that we can live in peace.
Let’s not let that peace lead to our ultimate defeat and enslavement. When a ballot initiative comes to a vote to limit or regulate firearms, vote against it. Write to your congressman, senator, governor. Tell them that the ability to carry and use firearms in the protection of our lives, our property, our society, should not and will not be infringed.
Carry a firearm and take back America from those who want to make it a playground for tyrants and thieves. Carry a concealed firearm and see how quickly crime and immorality are reduced in your neighborhood, in your life. Learn how to defend yourself and the Constitution and see how quickly the losers that currently run for office are replaced by people of upright standing and full of national pride.
Defend yourself. It is your birthright as an American.
It is your duty.

Far too many people do not have the maturity and reasoning capacity to enable them to carry a weapon without endangering themselves and those around them.
I’ve met far too many idiots at the gun range. Please don’t add to it. If you can’t take the responsibility that goes with owning a gun, do not get one!

I will defend that idiot’s right to carry a sidearm just as much as I will defend his right to criticize others at the range.
I have met those people many times as well. They are a product of the local government indoctrination center (public schools) and they especially need instruction not only in the use but the real history behind firearms and their unique place in American History.
Don’t shun them, educate them. If they are total losers they will fall to the wayside and become those we need to protect, those we take up arms to defend.
The ones we need to fear are those who have never been to a range yet condemn all us who aspire to follow our father’s footsteps and our Founding Father’s wishes. Those we need to fear are those who cry “peace peace” while all the time plotting our enslavement and death because of what we believe.

I’m sorry, but you’re talking on the same day that they announced a 3 year old died playing with a handgun in Wilkinsburg. Bad timing on your part.
All of the instructors for my handgun safety and personal safety courses advised people to think carefully about getting guns. They believed it was not for everyone. As a paramedic of 11.5 years in Pittsburgh, I saw more than sufficient evidence as well.
Blaming it on the school system is wishful thinking that I’ve seen scant evidence to back up. The history books and records are full of the vast stupidity of human beings.
Yes, they have the right. But rights carry responsibilities (including making sure the 3 or 13 year old can’t ever get at it), and if they cannot exercise the responsibilities, they should not exercise the right.
Given the number of people who think Ayoob is a wimp, there’s a lot of gun owners do not respect.

I know this world isn’t all gumdrops and lollipops. I know there are lazy idiots out there and that negligent homicide happens. And that the small and the innocent die. But how much are we willing to surrender in protecting idiots from themselves?
We have all seen that giving an inch of freedom to provide a mile of security in the end aways turns out to be the opposite formula. And how can you not lay the blame at the foot of the public schools when they teach only to fear and shun weapons? Never on how to own one responsibly. THAT is wishful thinking; that it doesn’t matter what happens in school.
I thank you for your service to the community as a paramedic and I do appreciate what you see and experience. My family has been in the medical field for several generations now. My parents were medics in Vietnam and I have several sisters in the psychiatric nursing field, so I have been privy to much of the ugly side of conflict and the inner self.
All this said, I firmly believe the answers to some of the biggest problems in Western Society lie in the unrestricted ownership of firearms and all the necessary steps involved in owning one responsibly, intelligently, and patriotically.

There are thousands of thoughtless & careless drivers who crash every year, sometimes killing children. We do not try & ban vehicles. Education is the key.

Since the fall of the Soviet Union ( YUK YUK ) our nation has become TOO relaxed. The SOCIALISTS have continued thier attacks on this nation without nary a look from the citizens our the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. They the SOCIALISTS have infiltrated every aspect of this country, ie. education in all pre-college classrooms spouting socalist views, and not teaching courses suchas CIVICS, and indepth AMERICAN HISTORY, and especially our AMERICAN BILL of RIGHTS. To silently take over a country you FIRST dumbdown the population so the future citizens don’t thier rights, then take away freedom of speach, pre-election press ( the gagging of the NRA and like orginazations) and then attempt to change STATE and FEDERAL CONSTITUTIONS. THEN THE GUNS GO SO WE CAN’T PROTECT OURSELFS. CHECK IT OUT FOR YOUR SELF, I’M NOT B-LLSH-TTING!!!

TODAY, THERE ARE MORE DEATHS BY CARS, TRUCKS, BUSSES AND AIRPLANES THAN ANYOTHER FORM OF KILLING. JUST TO CAUSE ALOT OF NOTICE, MAYBE SOME CONGRESSMAN ( OR WOMAN ) SHOULD SPONSER A BILL OUTLAWING THESE FORMS OF TRANSPORTATION TO STIR UP THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE, THE CITIZENS OF THIS GREAT REPUBLIC HAVE BECOME TOOOO LAZY LETTING THE GOVERNMENT DECIDE WHAT IS GOOD FOR THEM WITHOUT REGARD TO THE CONSEQUENCES TO THIER FREEDOMS LATTER DOWN THE ROAD.
