Rush Limbaugh Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

Landmark Legal Foundation herewith submits the name of Rush Limbaugh as an unsolicited nomination for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
We are offering this nomination for Mr. Limbaugh’s nearly two decades of tireless efforts to promote liberty, equality and opportunity for all mankind, regardless of race, creed, economic stratum or national origin. We fervently believe that these are the only real cornerstones of just and lasting peace throughout the world.
Rush Limbaugh is a nationally syndicated radio talk show host in the United States and one of the most popular broadcasters in the world. His daily radio show is heard on more than 600 radio stations in the United States and around the world. For 18 years he has used his show to become the foremost advocate for freedom and democracy in the world today. Everyday he gives voice to the values of democratic governance, individual opportunity and the just, equal application of the rule of law — and it is fitting the Nobel Committee recognize the power of these ideals to build a truly peaceful world for future generations.

There you have it folks, a true American nominated for a prize he does richly deserve. I don’t really know how much sway the Landmark Legal Foundation holds with the Prize Committee or how many other folks they have recommended or supported in the past. But the fact this announcement is getting any press at all seems to indicate they are at least on the radar of the Prize Committee and the pundits that follow these kinds of things.
Kudos to you Mr. Limbaugh if you receive such an honor. You would be the first person in recent memory who has actually supported Peace that will have won the Peace Prize.

Thank the maker! This article doesn’t even mention all his efforts in getting America into our necessary (and soon to be won due to the surge) conflict in Iraq. Without voices like this in media we would be left with only the liberal pansies such as Fox News, Clear Channel Radio, ABC (sure they are the biggest distributor of Rush’s show and also of the 700 Club, but still part of the liberal taliban that runs US media ), NBC and the like.
If the award was given based on genuis he should definitely win. He knew to stick by President Bush even when it seemed that he was abandoning Reagan-era values by not vetoing even the most pork-laden spending bills.
If you look past his three failed marriages and drug addiction, he is the representation of American values, both personally and professionally.

You leave out the fact that Rush Limbaugh is not an actual nominee for the Peace prize, while Al Gore is. Being nominated by random people doesn’t make you a nominee, any more than plastering “Me for President” posters makes you a presidential candidate. See link below for rules on nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize:

Your headline would have been more accurate expressed as:
Rush Limbaugh “Nominated” for Nobel Peace Prize

That is exactly the headline I have. Ohhh.. the little quotes… I’ll leave that kind of nonsense to you liberals. Besides, if you could read you would have noticed the word UNSOLICITED in their press release. That means, well, exactly what you claim the article did not say.

Your article seems to suggest you thought Limbaugh’s nomination was genuine enough; that there would be some consideration of him for the prize.
“But the fact this announcement is getting any press at all seems to indicate they are at least on the radar of the Prize Committee and the pundits that follow these kinds of things.”
So I left a friendly note correcting this mistake. No hard feelings.

But there is no mistake to be corrected, just your opinion that doesn’t match up to the actual facts. But that is ok, we are all opinionated.

He gets our vote; he’s brilliant and deserves this for educating Americans and revealing the deception and harm that the Drive-By Media perpetuates daily. He helps eliminate ignorance in America that the left-wing media is to be faulted for. He stands for truth and our core Beliefs as Americans, and fights to defend them.

I can’t believe someone actually submitted this to stumbleupon. Unless it was you Biggandy.
