In my opinion, the Tropicana Hotel and Casino is THE BEST attraction on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City.
The rooms are comfortable and I have had the best nights sleep in one of their COMP rooms than I have had paying for a suite at the Mirage in Las Vegas.
The Quarter at the Tropicana is a great place to eat, shop, or just browse around when the slot machines have gone cold on you or the Poker table has just raised their blind and raises to $25 and $50.
The casino floor is always bright, airy, and comfortable. Compared to other casino floors on the Boardwalk (Caesar’s, Trump, Bally’s) the only one that comes close in comparison is Bally’s Wild Wild West Casino, which is just a short walk down the Boardwalk. I recommend a visit to the Wild Wild West Casino while staying at the Tropicana.

No doubt that the Tropicana Hotel & Casino is the best casino property on the Boardwalk, even surpassing the Taj Mahal! The Trop is home to The Quarter, one of the best nightlife, shopping and dining complexes in the city. They also consistently offer deals on hotel rooms. However, the properties in the Marina District (i.e. Borgata, Harrah’s) are trying to raise the bar even higher!
