Even when offered the opportunity to tell the truth and come out smelling like a rose, Hillary and her campaign will choose a lie over the truth every time.
The story at CNN about Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff and her claim she was fed a specific question by a Clinton Campaign staffer is just another glaring manifestation of the disease Liabetes.
“Clinton campaign spokesman Mo Elleithee said Clinton had “no idea who she was calling on.”This is not acceptable campaign process moving forward. We’ve taken steps to ensure that it never happens again,” she said in a written response to CNN.”
Rather than use the opportunity to come clean and say, “Yes, we do encourage people to ask questions our campaign wants to focus on and we do offer some pre-written questions as suggestions” Mo decides it is better to lie to our face. We know it will happen again because when it happened before the same lie was told, “It will never happen again.”
The Town Hall meeting is a dog and pony show. We know we aren’t seeing spontaneous questions from random audience participants. Liberalism has ensured there is no courteous discourse in political debate. The only way to ensure the appearance of propriety and authenticity is to erase any possibility of authenticity and propriety and the possibility of spontaneity.
The only folks who consider the Town Hall Forum model as a valid expression of voter opinion are those who want to be fooled and those doing the fooling. The rest of us see this presentation of a candidate as merely another commercial. Prepackaged and sanitized for public consumption.
