Hey everyone.  Well, “hey” to the at least 4 subscribers and the 25 search engine bots that visit BA everyday.

I have not dropped off the face of the earth.  I have been splitting my time over at http://www.fourfatguys.com, working out so I have something to post at fourfatguys.com, and writing a screenplay (yes, a REAL screenplay).

The script is for consideration at Starship Farragut.  I have worked as a production assistant for a couple of their projects and some sound recording on others.  This is my first stab at teleplay writing.  The treatment of the project was well received, and a couple of folks who have read the early script have liked it.  But that does consume a great deal of time.

So, visit FFG, SHF, and keep me in mind that I can keep up with the workout program.  Who knows, I may have to register smallandyy.com after a while.

I am starting a new site devoted to all things polymer clay, Sculpey Club.

Sculpey Club

Any input on how to make this a more fun and informative site let me know.

I have a short experiment already online. I try to make an Altoids tin into a keepsake turtle box. It goes fairly well until the very end. Give it a look.

I followed approximately the How To Make a Sculpey baby tutorial from a few posts ago. I did not photograph a series of the steps I used because I was not sure if this experiment would even come out humanoid much less along the lines of the directions.

Well, you can judge my work below.

About 2 hours of sculpting and nearly 40 minutes of baking. The figurine is about 7 inches long.

Ok, so my previous installment is VERY detailed. Wire frames, plumbers epoxy, air brush, that is a lot for someone just wanting to make nice little figurines in sculpey clay. Well here is a great tutorial on making something much simpler, is much less involved, and will probably only take a day (maybe two) to complete from start to finish.

A sculpey antelope, very small so one does not need to worry about an internal support structure (i.e. wires and foil), and can be painted rather simply to get a great effect. Click on over to the ArtSpots forum and enjoy. I am going to give it a try and post what my results are.

This tutorial has been online for quite a while now but I wanted to bring it to your attention since it is not Youtube based but a forum thread.

Here are a couple of pics from the tutorial to wet your appetite. Smellybug does this thing for a living but why not pick up some hints and tips from an expert? And he is GOOD!
