Remember my first article on Vicarious Learning?

Here is an update:

It has been 4 months since the first installment and I have still not paid the $35.00 in late fees.

Red Flag Number 2.

Red Flag

I am a Fred Thompson supporter based on his stated positions on issues and some positions I assume he will have. Even though I am a Constitution Party member I plan to vote early and often for Fred Thompson should he get the Republican nomination for President of the United States.

However, especially after his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the comparisons to Ronald Reagan are just not there. During the interview I could not help notice that the gravitas President Reagan naturally exuded was certainly not present with Mr. Thompson.

Even Fred Thompson’s suit did not inspire “presidentiality“.

Compare to Ronald Reagan both as President and also as Governor appearing on the television program “The Sonny and Cher Show”.

He was always impeccably dressed, polished, and comfortable in front of the audience and cameras. And boy could he ever wear a tuxedo.

Even though Fred Thompson is a politician by trade and only became an actor by good fortune, it came across very conspicuously that Fred Thompson, while possessing a distinguished voice, has neither the dignitas nor pietas of his closest ideological cousin, Ronald Reagan.

All in all, not a good “first impression” to give the American People as an introduction to Fred Thompson the Candidate. He should rethink his wardrobe department for the campaign. Maybe he should get one to begin with.

I read this story from The Drudge Report about being able to see faces of people from the Streetview feature. Very neat and very worrisome for those who are overly concerned about the so called “right to privacy”.

I was wondering, as I was scrolling along the streets, “what was making the pictures”? I found this image from the Las Vegas street view outside of the Treasure Island Casino.

The shadow of the car recording the images. It looks like some sort of camera on a pole attached to the roof of the car. I am going to keep looking to try to find a big picture window or mirror that is actually reflecting the entire vehicle itself.

Before and After

Katrina on the Prairie???

I will cut to the chase and tell you what I have found out. At about 5:00 AM on the morning of the Greensburg Tornado Governor Kathleen Sebelius gets a telephone call from Howard Dean instructing her to do nothing with regards to asking for FEMA assistance or anything concerning the Greensburg situation.

About an hour later Dick (Durbin?) calls Governor Sebelius and instructs her to politicize the tragedy by claiming there is not enough manpower to help in the rescue efforts because President Bush has all the National Guard and their equipment over in Iraq.

Governor Sebelius is apparently happy to carry the water for the Democratic National Committee and goes along with the plot. Apparently she is not completely devoid of conscience and places a call to her friend Kansas Senator Sam Brownback, expressing her deep regrets on what she “had” to do regarding her public comments about the tornado strike and loss of life.

Senator Brownback is “disappointed” in her conduct and is further saddened to hear her rationalization of the plot. According to Governor Sebelius, “we [the DNC] just can not let an opportunity like this go by.”

Opportunity??? To politicize and exploit the deaths of 12 citizens of her state in order to keep in the good graces with the DNC Chairman and the Senator from Vermont? To attempt to further damage the Presidency in a time of war with outright lies? To abandon her fellow citizens when they are facing the literal destruction of an entire town and the death of a dozen of them?

I call for the immediate resignation of Governor Sebelius, Senator Durbin, and Howard Dean and ask for a special investigation into the despicable abuse of power these three have displayed on the backs of fellow Americans all to further an anti-American political agenda.
