I heard one radio commentator gushing on and on about the “mandate” (man I am sick of that liberal code word) Luke was given in his victory over write-in Republican candidate Desantis.

In a city where the democrats supposedly outnumber republicans by 5 to 1 how does a 2 to 1 victory over a write-in candidate equate to any sort of mandate?  Seems to me democrats weren’t energized at all to come out and support Mayor Luke in any appreciable numbers and the write-in candidate numbers were on the staggering side.

Only 42,190 votes were cast for Mayor Luke.  Pittsburgh has a population of about 350,000.  Mr. Desantis garnered 23,173 votes.  Both huge democratic party defections and huge democratic party apathy has contributed to the decline of Pittsburgh in general and the rise of Republican and Third Party politics in particular.

Maybe, just maybe, as the “party line” voters continue to die off the crushing stranglehold of democratic corruption on Southwestern Pennsylvania will diminish and we can finally enter the 21st century with the rest of the country.

Yes, now you too can become a Certified Liberal Whisperer! The certification exam is very easy! Only one question, but you have to get it correct (sorry liberals). Here it is:

Using only one sentence, explain liberal thinking.

Don’t think it can be done? Sure, the answer is simple and once you know it you too can receive your certification as a Liberal Whisperer.

The answer is:

It doesn’t matter the consequences, it is the thought that counts.

That’s it. There is no other explanation necessary. Liberalism is a narcissistic, myopic, gutless form of crass hedonism of the worst kind. Nothing else matters and nothing matters more to a simplistic liberal than how they “feel”.

And that is the secret to unraveling their maddening illogic on almost any issue. A liberal will take whatever course and action necessary so they can feel smug and self righteous about themselves. It doesn’t matter that “Universal” health care has never and can never work. It only feels good to them when they think they have everyone covered.

Contradictions in ideological beliefs like supporting abortion yet opposing capital punishment suddenly melt away because now you have the key to speaking their language: “as long as I feel good, nothing else matters.” History doesn’t matter. Facts don’t matter. Logic doesn’t matter. Nothing matters except the liberals’ “felt need” and nothing had better get in their way on their way to satisfying it, at any cost.

And there you have it. You are a Certified Liberal Whisperer. You can print out your Certificate (see link above) and display it proudly on your wall or cubical. Just remember to edit out YOUR NAME HERE!!! *wink*

Back in February I exposed the lie that Al Gore won an Oscar for his snooze-o-rama “An Inconvenient Truth.”  Last night the main stream media faked another award for the bum, this time an Emmy Award.

Headlines, even on Drudge, are reporting Al Gore won an Emmy.  But, the same as back in February, he was merely accepting the award on behalf of the true winner, this time the website current.tv.

We can only hope this buffoon does not show up at the Tony Awards!

Hooray!  Or is it?

GAZA CITY, (AP) - A Mickey Mouse lookalike who preached Islamic domination on a Hamas- affiliated children’s television program was beaten to death in the show’s final episode Friday.

In the final skit, “Farfour” was killed by an actor posing as an Israeli official trying to buy Farfour’s land. At one point, the mouse called the Israeli a “terrorist.”

But, I must give props where they are due, it was very clever.  I wonder if the democrats could be as clever or if they even realize that our enemy is this clever?

What am I thinking?  The democrats think they are the most clever, intelligent, thoughtful, wise, and insightful people on the face of the Earth.  Anyone who is “not them” is slow witted, stupid, primitive, and easily duped.

The exact opposite is true.

1. Banning guns works, which is why New York, DC, & Chicago cops need guns.
2. Washington DC’s low murder rate of 69 per 100,000 is due to strict gun control, and Indianapolis’ high murder rate of 9 per 100,000 is due to the lack of gun control.
3. An intruder will be incapacitated by tear gas or oven spray, but if shot with a .357 Magnum will get angry and kill you.
4. A woman raped and strangled is morally superior to a woman with a smoking gun and a dead rapist at her feet.
5. When confronted by violent criminals, you should “put up no defense — give them what they want, or run” (Handgun Control Inc. Chairman Pete Shields, Guns Don’t Die - People Do, 1981, p.125).
6. The 2nd Amendment, ratified in 1787, refers to the National Guard, which was created 130 years later, in 1917.
7. The National Guard, federally funded, with bases on federal land, using federally-owned weapons, vehicles, buildings and uniforms, punishing trespassers under federal law, is a “state” militia.
8. These phrases: “right of the people peaceably to assemble,” “right of the people to be secure in their homes,” “enumeration’s herein of certain rights shall not be construed to disparage others retained by the people,” and “The powers not delegated herein are reserved to the states respectively, and to the people” all refer to individuals, but “the right of the people to keep and bear arm” refers to the state.
9. “The Constitution is strong and will never change.” But we should ban and seize all guns thereby violating the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Amendments to that Constitution.
10. Private citizens shouldn’t have handguns, because they aren’t “military weapons”, but private citizens shouldn’t have “assault rifles”, because they are military weapons.
11. In spite of waiting periods, background checks, finger printing, government forms, etc., guns today are too readily available, which is responsible for recent school shootings. In the 1940’s, 1950’s and 1960’s, anyone could buy guns at hardware stores, army surplus stores, gas stations, variety stores, Sears mail order, no waiting, no background check, no fingerprints, no government forms and there were no school shootings.
12. Guns are so complex that special training is necessary to use them properly, and so simple to use that they make murder easy.
13. A handgun, with up to 4 controls, is far too complex for the typical adult to learn to use, as opposed to an automobile that only has 20.
14. Ordinary people in the presence of guns turn into slaughtering butchers but revert to normal when the weapon is removed.
15. Guns cause violence, which is why there are so many mass killings at gun shows.
16. A majority of the population supports gun control, just like a majority of the population supported owning slaves.
17. Most people can’t be trusted, so we should have laws against guns, which most people will abide by because they can be trusted.
18. The right of Internet pornographers to exist cannot be questioned because it is constitutionally protected by the Bill of Rights, but the use of handguns for self defense is not really protected by the Bill of Rights.
19. The ACLU is good because it uncompromisingly defends certain parts of the Constitution, and the NRA is bad, because it uncompromisingly defends certain parts of the Constitution.
20. Police operate with backup within groups, which is why they need larger capacity pistol magazines than do “civilians” who must face criminals alone and therefore need less ammunition.
21. We should ban “Saturday Night Specials” and other inexpensive guns because it’s not fair that poor people have access to guns too.
22. Private citizens don’t need a gun for self-protection because the police are there to protect them even though the Supreme Court says the police are not responsible for their protection.
23. Citizens don’t need to carry a gun for personal protection but police chiefs, who are desk-bound administrators who work in a building filled with cops, need a gun.
24. Trigger locks do not interfere with the ability to use a gun for defensive purposes, which is why you see police officers with one on their duty weapon.
25. Handgun Control, Inc. says they want to “keep guns out of the wrong hands.” Guess what? You have the wrong hands.
