The Mon-Fayette Expressway, first conceived of in 1970 by, among others, the Democratic dinosaur Barry Stout, was a great idea.

In 19 freaking 70!

Forty years later it is nothing but an obsolete chunk of pork kept on artificial life support as a pet project from a long forgotten era.

When Clairton was King of Coke and the Duquesne Works and other Mon Valley steel mills built the world, an expressway from the southern communities to the places were thousands of mill workers were employed was a great idea.

Today, with Clairton Works a tiny fraction of its former size and the Duquesne Works all but demolished, the Mon-Fayette Expressway is an embarrassment for Southwestern Pennsylvania and yet another reason why it is obvious the economic vitality of a region is inversely proportional to the amount of democrats in charge of government.

The Mon-Fayette Expressway is a fitting monument to democratic malfeasance.  A long stretch of empty promises starting nowhere and never ending, never going anywhere or moving anyone forward.

And at a whopping $1.2 Billion dollars, with another $850 Million currently wasted on a connector between the massive metropolises of Uniontown and Brownsville, the 57 miles stretch of highway will cost over $2 Billion dollars to tax payers.  That is a whopping $35,087,719.30 per mile!

Yes, that is $35 MILLION DOLLARS PER MILE!

In Arkansas, a 2005 report showed an estimated cost of roughly $7 million dollars per mile for a 4 lane expressway.

In South Dakota, a 2003 report estimated the cost of a 4 lane highway to be only $1.9 million dollars per mile.

In Pennsylvania can it really COST $35 millions dollars per mile to construct a 4 lane highway?  Can the corruption of this Democratic controlled region be so expensive as to balloon the cost of basic infrastructure by a factor of 10?

You betcha!

And if Barry Stout gets his way, it will cost $2 BILLION dollars more to “finish” this project.  From nowhere to nowhere, because let’s face it, Pittsburgh and Oakland and Monroeville aren’t the places they were in 1970.

We had a chance in Romney, the most Conservative candidate out of the bunch (which isn’t saying much). But now that he has announced he is dropping out, the way Huckabee SHOULD have done, I must retract my last opinion about Hillary (Hillary Clinton: Your Choice Doesn’t Matter).

I AM GOING TO BE A SUICIDE VOTER. At least in the National Election. I will continue to support, campaign, and vote for Conservative candidates in my local and state elections. But for President, I am going to vote for Hillary.

I posted on a Christian Forum (September 2005) about Hillary running for President under the Republican banner. Seems I am not too far off from reality. If McCain gets the nomination Hillary could become President from Republican Suicide Voters like me. Voters who want to blow up the Republican establishment, expel the RINOs once and for all, and restore CONSERVATIVISM to the national party.

And think of this. The Democratic Convention is in late August, the Republican Convention in early September. If B. Hussein Obama gets the nomination from the Democrats Hillary could be drafted by Suicide Delegates and actually become the Republican Nominee for 2008!

Either way, if McCain is the nominee, the Republican Party will not survive the revolt, as well it should not. McCain wasn’t much of a aviator (he was shot down 3 times), he wasn’t much of a prisoner (he spilled his guts over and over again to his interrogators), and he isn’t much of a Republican (he is a liberal).

His record from the military and in congress is abysmal. He is a poser, a pretender, a fraud, and those are his redeeming qualities. Is it any wonder the liberal media are trying their best to push this loser onto the Republican Party? His grisly accomplishments make Hillary’s baggage (i.e. Bill Clinton) look that much smaller.

According to Hillary Clinton, if you choose to not purchase some sort of Health Care for yourself you will have your money forcibly CONFISCATED by the government and given to the government sponsored health plan.

This is the socialist utopia Hillary (and B. Hussein Obama) have planned for the United States of America. No longer the “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.” The world according to Hillary is the “Land of the Government and the Home of the Worker.”

But don’t believe me, read it for yourself at Yahoo News. “Garnishing wages” from people whom choose freely to not purchase Health Insurance just because she disagrees with the free will of the people.

I guess some people in America are more free than others in Hillary’s estimation. But angry, post-menopausal narcissists should NOT be in charge of the family checkbook much less the economy of the Free World.

PLEASE! America, do NOT elect this female. And B. Hussein Obama isn’t electable.

And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not elect Mushy McCain, he and Hillary are nearly the same save one letter (D vs. R).  But, where McCain is a spineless political hack, Hillary is a soulless megalomaniac.

So sorry Ann Coulter, a vote for Hillary is a giant leap towards a National Fascist State. A vote wasted on McCain is a vote for four more years of George W. Bush “liberal Republicanism”. We don’t need either, but while we can survive the latter, we can’t live with the former.

It is absolutely amazing. Democrats calling each other “conservatives”. Republicans accusing each other of being “liberals”. All this at the end of January, 9 months away from the actual election.

Has anyone else noticed that with all these caucuses and Primary Elections so early and so close that the process has all but eliminated any possibility of a commoner aspiring to the Presidency of the United States? Soon it will take a Billion Dollar Warchest to wage even a remotely successful campaign to become the Leader of the Free World.

That isn’t even remotely close to what the Founding Fathers desired for our Country. But we get the leadership we deserve and the Presidency is now nothing more than a very expensive popularity contest. There are no populist candidates anymore… they are ALL populist (i.e. the viewpoint of the masses). And in case you did not notice, the masses aint all they are cracked up to be anymore.
